Collective worship is central to the life of the school and takes place each morning. As we are a church school, the focus is Christian teaching, but the staff are always mindful that there will be children from families of different faiths and no faith. It is one of the few aspects of school where parents/carers are permitted to request that their child does not attend. If this is the case, please speak to the Head teacher.
It takes several different forms starting each week with an introduction of the theme or story. On Tuesdays, the children experience a more reflective collective worship that takes place 'in the round'. Singing and a thought for the day is the focus on Wednesdays. The Reverend Tim Goode or the Reverend Helen Burnett leads collective worship on Thursdays and parents are warmly invited to attend. Our Friday celebration is, without doubt, the children's all time favourite! We celebrate good work, including effort and good behaviour. Those children who have exhibited one of our school values are rewarded with a leaf on our 'school values tree'.
