Geography
In order to provide the best possible curriculum for our pupils, we have taken the decision to implement the Primary Knowledge Curriculum from 2022/3 academic year. For the last half term of this academic year we will be in transition phase as we begin to implement some PKC units as they fit with the units the children have already covered.
Current Primary Knowledge Curriculum units for Year 1 and 2 can be seen below and full details of the 2022/23 Primary Knowledge Curriculum for geography will be posted here in due course.
Year 1- The Seven Continents
Year 2 - Northern Europe
Knowledge organisers for these units will be shared via Tapestry for copyright reasons.
Please note, that all information pertaining to the preexisting geography curriculum for this academic year can still be found below.
The document above explains our approach to teaching geography at St Peter and St Paul C of E Infant School.
Below is an overview of the units and key knowledge taught in Reception (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and 2)
Class teachers will send home curriculum maps each half term so you will be made aware of the content that your child is being taught. They will also send home a copy of the knowledge organisers that they will be using to support your child's learning in class.
Copies of both curriculum maps and knowledge organisers can be found on your child's class page by following the link below.
