The school values the partnership in learning between child, parents/carers and school and is always looking for ways to help parents/carers know how to support their child's learning at home. Parent consultations are held each term and the annual Record of Achievement provides parents/carers with assessment information. Individual targets are given to parents/carers at parent consultations that reflect the next steps for the child. When a child's reading is assessed, staff will often also send home a copy of the assessment record. In addition to this, Reception parents/carers are given access to an on-going online Record of Achievement called 'Tapestry' and are encouraged to add comments about their child's interests and progress at home. Homework is differentiated to suit each child and parents/carers are directed to online maths and reading/phonics resources to support their child's learning.
If you would like more information about your child's progress or would like to discuss any concerns you may have, please chat to us informally or arrange an appointment.
The phonics audio guide mentioned in the school's 'reading booklet', is signposted on the page under Reading on the Curriculum tab.
