Each August Bank Holiday Monday the school site, together with the village hall, is used for the Chaldon Village Fete. This is a real community venture with committee representatives from a wide range of local organisations such as the scouts, rainbows and brownies, the WI, local residents and the village council, as well as the school. Historically, about 40% of the takings have been donated to the school. This is generally used to enrich the children's learning by paying for visitors during themed weeks such as providing an African drumming experience.
If you would like to get to know the school better (some of our children make their first visit to the school at the fete!), please do come along. Committee meetings are held at the school on the third Tuesday of every month at 7.30pm.
