Year 2 home learning for the weeks beginning the 20th and 27th April

Year 2 Home learning resources

Welcome to the home learning page for year 2. I hope that you are all well and enjoying some lovely and valuable family time together; let's take as many positives from this situation as possible!

Below is a suggested timetable for your child's learning, including activities for each subject listed. Please follow this loosely, with a best fit for your child and whole family situation. I'm sure everyone is still trying to find some form of normality in this strange but temporary way of life and if activities are not completed in that week, don't worry- save them for another. The main priority is that our families are all healthy in mind and body and staying strong together.

Word documents, power points, website links, etc. are all attached and hopefully this will be easy enough to navigate. Many of the activities can be done in your child's exercise book that was sent home, as long as they have the task at hand visible. Please ensure any work accessed online is done so alongside an adult at home and e-safety rules are followed.

As we get used to a new way of working and setting work for the children pages may be updated throughout the week with additional learning activities, so please keep an eye on this page.

My thoughts and best wishes are with you and all your families. Our school team are working together to provide the best learning experiences and activities for your children and one day, we will all meet again soon!

Dahl class- keep smiling, keep in touch and keep washing those hands!

Miss Heppenstall

You will find learning for the week beginning 27.04.20 below. The phonics activities and maths greater depth leaning are still in the same files above. Please also keep doing the Joe Wicks daily PE, it's a great way of keeping fit and we have been doing this with the children who have been in school. Fab way to start your day!

If you find your child is struggling with some of the White Rose Maths problems I have included some 'Milder Maths Challenges'. You can find these under the 'chalk board' icon and there are a range of different problems. There are many pages so please don't send it to print all at once. Print only the pages you require for that day.

There is also a section for Forest School activities that Mrs Amitrano has put together. These are great fun and a perfect time to do them with all of your family.

I hope you are all well and staying safe. We're thinking of you all and sending you a great big hug!
