COVID-19 Contingency Planning from September 2021

The above is in line with Step 4 of the Government’s Roadmap and the updated ‘Stay at home’ guidance which can be read by clicking the link below:

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

Our contingency plan complies with the School COVID-19 operational guidance here and the four control measures:

  1. Ensure good hygiene for everyone.
  2. Maintain appropriate cleaning regimes.
  3. Keep occupied spaces well ventilated.
  4. Follow public health advice on testing, self-isolation and managing confirmed cases of COVID-19.

The plan below outlines the three types of Remote Learning which will be offered to children if their learning is disrupted by Covid from September 2021.

It is not anticipated that there will be a return to whole school closures nationally and some class closures will be a last resort (see COVID Contingency Plan above) however, it is likely that some children will have to miss school because they have tested positive for COVID 19. It is also possible, that should there be a major Covid outbreak within school, whole classes may have to move to home learning for 10 school days.

If your child is ill with Covid, or any other illness, they won’t be expected to complete any home learning.
