At St Peter and St Paul, our English curriculum is designed to equip our pupils with the skills they need to read, write and communicate effectively in order to allow them to embrace their future lives as God intended them to. 

 

Whilst all tightly linked, our English curriculum is broadly separated in to: 

- phonics (early reading) 

- reading 

- writing 

- handwriting 

- spoken language 

 

Our emphasis on the importance of effective spoken language firmly underpins our approach to all other aspects.
